amp power wire ???
hey guess. as some of you seen in my other thread i just got a SX1250.1 kicker amp. its suposed to have 0 gauge wire. i dont plan on this being turned way up or anything. can i get away with running 4 gauge without hurting anything? i have the 0 but im almost a foot short and no way to really add more and i dont want to pay that much for another roll. i have alot of 4 tho.

You can get away with it but you are running the risk of shorting the amp or even an electrical fire if you dont use what is called for. The suggested gauge wire is what needs to be used in order to protect your amp and also your car. It means that your amp is pulling more juice from the battery than an amp suggesting a 4 gauge wire. If I were you, I would run the 0 gauge or nothing in order to be safe and certain that I save my car. I could be wrong on this and I would suggest that you talk to Ryan from Ohio as he is the guru, I just install shit and make it sound good. LOL

If you're going to try, for the love of god put a fuse in there. Your car might be smoking hot in a way you don't want if you just run the wire without a fuse.

If that's REAL 0ga wire.. I'd buy it. Might be over-rated though.
Otherwise check the caraudio.com for sale section.. you can always find lengths of 0ga on there for decent prices.

In stock.
I should be able to do these for $88 shipped.
They got 8 of them in stock and they do sell quickly. If anyone else is interested have me paid by 7/1/09 and I can get them all in the same trip.

stinger hyperflex for sure, and you know you can always do multiple runs of wire, its actually better. if u do please put it in a fuse block and not try n stuff multiple runs into the amp..
