Door Panel Removal

How the f*%# do you take the door panel off of the gx model with manual windows? It seems the panel will not come off because of the actual crank? I CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER ANYWHERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Sorry, i'm frustrated...

erm, screw behind the red reflector and 2 screws behind the hand grab portion (pop the plastic off with a flat head screw driver).

I've done that, it just seems that the ONLY piece of the trim that is giving me trouble in the panel around the window crank. I do not have power windows, which seems that it would make this so much easier. Is the panel actually getting stuck as in i need to find a way to remove the window crank, or am i just going crazy???

I know they make a special tool to remove hand window cranks. You probably just have to remove the crank and then pop loose a few of the plastic "trees" that hold the panel.

Yes, I have the same model and I just bought that tool last week for about $5 at Advanced Auto, not a bad investment if you're going to use it. I just ran outside and took a few pictures, hopefully these help you if you have something similar. Other tools will work, the just have to be the right shape to snap the U shaped pin out of place.

The tool on it's own: http://s302.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=101_7116.jpg

Slide in this way parallel with the handle or the opposite way, depending on which way the clip is in.
Attachment 6981

Your tool or whatever you're using should be able to get in deep once the clip is popped.
Attachment 6982

The clip in the popped out position.

Yes the crank has to come off.

All manual window cranks are pretty much the same, I use a pick set with a 90 degree bend, before that I used and old dental scraper. just gotta get the clip disengaged. See above post picture ^

I was replacing the door speakers, then again, if i was changing the window regulator or anything else i would need the same advice on removing the door panel, where else do you propose i put this thread?

Nevermind, i was in a hurry and thought it would be ridiculous to put it under a how to, and it was not necessarily speaker related, common questions may have worked better, my bad on this one.
