my speakers lasted... a week!

so i got some pioneer ts-a6993r 6x9 speakers for christmas, hooked them up, and they sounded great. buttttttt last night i was driving to work and noticed the right one is crackling. immensely...... i do not have an amp, nor have i (ever) turned my stereo up high enough to blow them...

cheers to you, pioneer :P

(cool story for you guys)

p.s. maybe this should have gone in product reviews but whateva

That does suck, but I would not condem them for one faulty speaker...lol Im sure the best of them have a bad one get through inspection once in a while...lol I have used Pioneer stuff for almost 20 years in my cars and have always been quite happy with them. Never had the cash flow for anything top shelf so I have always stuck with them. I would just get the replacment they owe you and see how it goes. I bet that was a one shot deal and you'll not see that again man

oh yeah, i know it must have just been a lemon, not trying to bash pioneer. would they give me a replacement for it being blown? won't they just try to say i cranked it up too loud?
