WARNING: Do not buy NHL 2005! Go with 2004. I traded in 04 for the other and it sucks. B)

Cryin here in Philly too. I like to watch the Flyers during the week but after football seasons over, No sports until spring.

Our AHL team, the Phamtoms aren't going to be playing either, since they are owned by the Flyers. It's just a rumor right now, but it makes sense

^ Hit up the college games, and other junior level hockey. It's a more exciting product than the NHL was putting on the ice lately anyways.

Are you kidding me?

2005 is lightyears ahead of 2004.

Unless you like your defensman always standing behind the net in the offensive zone, your players constantly going offside and of course buying a better bus for your team

The AHL team will play. The lockout is not related to the AHL at all, so unless the team somehow folds (which makes no sense cuz attendance should be higher now) they will be playing. Your lucky, i wish our farm team was here.

Too arcade like, unless you have game settings to make it more realistic. That's my problem with it.

The only thing I thought was arcade was the amount of hitting. I just put puck control up and hit power down, and its gold.

Getting back to no hockey, does anyone care about the NHL anymore? Should we?

yes i miss it...but to tell ya the truth...this season's not comin back...next season is still really iffy...too many businesses lost money because of this lockout, and hockey is gonna have to be EXTREMELY good to gain back all the interest it had...

I miss it. Fortunately, though, I've been WAY too busy to notice. Getting my fix right now with playing roller hockey.

IF the season comes back next year (it's done for this year) many of the veterans won't be returning. From what I've heard around the Devils camp is that they are planning for the possibility that next season is delayed as well. The players asked their GM Lou Lamoriello to step in on their behalf and try to salvage last week's talks but even Lou couldn't work his magic.

I missed it, but it made me realize that there's so much more hockey out there. I'm following so many leagues now I can hardly keep up. Plus being at the world juniors helped me "get my fix".

There were a lot of retired players there (mostly scouts, coaches, gms, etc...). I also got Sutters autograph.

Apparently it was reported that there was more beer sold at the Canada games than was sold all season long for the UND team. The organizers had to order more beer on at least 3 occasions that I know of.
