When I was young and stupid I put the Bosch Platiuum +4's in my Alero. It ran about the same and started maybe a split second quicker, but it started misfiring really bad. I almost traded the car in of a GTO in Dec 04 becuase nobody could figure out what was wrong.

I bough the ACDelcos and it runs the same.

In fact I bought the wrong plugs for the Delta with the engine swap. (ACdelco R43S and I should have gotten R45S) They are just standard plugs for $2 a plug. I bought the ones for a 1968 455 motor, not the 1968 350 motor. I bough the right plugs, swapped them and the car ran a hell of a lot better. The motor started making that struggling noise when I got on it.

MPG is better with the new plugs too, from 9 mpg to 13 mpg

i have the plugs for my 3.4 i have noticed a difference in gas mileage the main difference is the fact that they are guaranteed for 100,000 miles so if one fails under normal circumstances they send you a whole set. And Bosch sucks so never ever put them in your car it took me three sets of bosch platinums in my probe to get a whole set that would fire right. in my opinion its not a waste of money, its the reliability issue with me but i can say its made a difference so if mpg goes up it proves its definately a more efficient spark.

I just put autolite plugs in from milizy and work great. $15 for 6 plugs along with taylor wires. I replaced the stock plugs at 136,000 miles fancy plugs are a waste. delco or equilant is all you need.

i put thos split fire junk in my jet ski and after fighting with it for half aday to get it running right (and not winning) the plugs took a swim in the lake and the old ngks went back in.

I get better mileage from my Cherokee! Well, close to it, at least. That's still horrible though!

Having new spark plugs and wires will restore lost performance and pickup, but any spark plug maker saying they will give you 10 HP is just marketing. You won't get that over stock performance. Maybe over used 80,000 mile plugs.

200 miles a tank in town sounds about like mine. i get about 18-20 mpg.

and paying $100 for spark plugs is just stupid. I got 4 for my car for about $25. That is the price mechanics or employees pay but still they shouldn"t be much more than that.

I used to get 360-380 km per tank (230 miles) last year.

But for some reasons, I get around 470-480 now (300 miles) with only putting 40psi in the tires like some guys told me on here.

I even made 520 km (325)on one tank one time I was being really careful about my mpg (50% highway + 50% city)
