Summer Plans and possibilities

So once it starts to get warmer out there are a few things I want to do and a few things im considering. Need some opinions and input on it. Already searched.

Also, found this website :

Will do:
http://www.z-spec.com/aleroperformance.htm

New plugs.
Clean out intake and buy a K&N Filter (right now have a crappy autozone spectre one)

Thinking of doing:

62MM TB
Ported Intake Manifold made to match the TB
Pacesetter Header

The car already has a CAI with magnaflow 2.5" exhaust. Thats about the only engine work the car has had. Changed the serp. belt 20 miles ago. The car is now at 94,200 miles.

What would the gains be out of all of this? Pro's? Con's?

Thanks!

Chris

You can't exactly port the stock plastic intake manifold. So what you'll essentially be doing is wasting your time. The 62mm t/b will give you some added response. If you want to lighten the accessory belt load, find a 2.3HO crank pulley and replace the oem one w/ that. If you don't intend on going into the motor, find someone w/ HPTuners and give your car a tune for 91/93octane, and tweak your tranny settings.

Some other good stuff would be to upgrade the suspension, mainly the rear struts. Stock aleros handle like a right *ss through corners.

Got a front sway bar as well.

To spyhunter: Why would doing that be wasting my time? I wouldnt use the stock one, but the one on here : http://www.z-spec.com/aleroperformance.htm
It's right below the TB.

it's a waste, it's not really ported. you're not gaining anything from it.

Oh alright. So the only thing out of all these that I should do is just the 62mm TB?

What part are you trying to show in the z-spec link? and if you want an intake manifold why not get a sheet metal one?

because i doubt he wants to spend over $500 on a piece that will probably only help him out if he goes boosted.
