Wheels

Thanks to the search feature I know that our bolt pattern is 5x115, but I found a nice set of Pontiac GTO wheels and tires on Craigslist and the bolt pattern is 5x120. Will these fit or can I modify my car to fit them without spending a lot of money?

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand greandes

Plus the fact that a GTO is a RWD car, I bet the offset is probably in the low 30's

The offset on a GTO is 48mm..

Many RWD cars use high offset wheels nowadays... A 'vette has no wheels with an offset under 50 for quite a while now.

Really?!?!? Cause I was looking at American Racing Torq Thrust for the Alero when I bought the Racelines.

Ken, where the HELL have you been.... My rims are 17x8 with a +32 offset with 255/40/17s and fit perfect on the front!! The rears are in a little bit which is ok, because I don't won't them sticking out farther looking like a RWD car.....

Which means using something like this it would work.....

http://compare.ebay.com/like/3902996...=263602_304662

Obviously factoring in both the wheel offset and the adaper. In reality you would need a 1" adapter and a mid to high 50 offset in order for it to work...

Exactly, I have C5 mag wheels on my beretta with a spacer. 17x8.6 which weighs under 17 lbs. Not to mention the offset can be perfect because you can get any size spacer you want.

Well if anyone knows of some common cars with factory wheels 17+ with the proper bolt pattern please let me know so that I can keep an eye out around craigslist and the junkyards. I really have no idea what I'm looking for other than I like 5 spoke wheels.

Bonneville GXP wheels would look nice...

There's a ton of different GM wheels out there that would work... Mine originally came off a CTS.

If I remember right acura tl type s wheels are damn near a perfect fit....but they are hard to get a hold of and sometimes cost as much as new rims.....

I'll have to research but I thought when I was looking previously they come factory as 17x8 with a +32 offset, which is the same as mine, and perfect fitment for the front....

These Bonneville rims are 17" 5-spoke. This link is just for reference, but i have a set of 4 of these with Hankook Ventus HRII tires already on them. I ran them on my Alero for a little while. I seem to recall that I needed a small (1/8" I think) spacer on the rear. Note that this link is NOT my auction...mine are for sale in my garage cleaning thread.

Looked it up, the 17x8 acura tl type s rims are made by enkei and have a +45 offset, higher than I would like to see but would still work and look great with a 1/2in spacer.....
