I tried searching for a How to on trunk amp installations.

Can anybody provide me with the thread.

Only major question is how I get the power wire from the battery to the trunk. I can't figure out how to get through the engine bay to the interior.

Thanks

take off the plastic parts that cover all the wiring in the driverside foot rest. You will see the PCM and a wire harness running through the fire wall in a grey grommet. With a coat hanger or a fish tape fish throuhg the gromment and pull the wire through that way.

Edit, Use the options on the search window. Jiffy did a great how-to found HERE!!

make sure your signal and power wire are ran on opposite sides of the car or you will get interference. it happen to me so i had to move the signal wire.

Yea check that thread I had started when I was looking for help. The people on this board proved invaluable.

Getting the power wire through the grommet that is located on the drivers side was the hardest thing I had to do. make sure you cut some of the tape that is around it so that you can get the power wire through.

If you think the engine bay is hard, wait until you try running power lines into your doors.

just did this last night.... if you pull the drivers side headlight out, their is a channel between the engin bay and the outside metal of the car, you can shove some wire or in my case a bamboo gardening stick through a hole located near the drivers side fuse box and it will come out right next to your battery. than just ran it striahgt down and along the bottom of drivers side door and into the trunk just under the drivers side rear speakers, worked really nice.
