At the request of another member here at A-Mod I spoke to my contact at Cerious Performance about getting carbon fiber parts done for your Aleros. Any part you guys would like to see is possible but to make the project worthwhile they would need 5-10 committed buyers. They can do hoods, fenders, trunks, interior parts, etc. etc. as long as there is enough interest.

I've already sent them my wishlist of parts I want to see them make, so post up in here if a number of you are interested in getting any parts for your car made in CF. You can check out my car in the Showcase section if you would like to see the hood that they currently produce for my GA.

Let me know, as their soonest molding shipment will be in about a month.

everybody wants everything for nothing....600 for a CF hood isn't bad at all IMO...especially for a "dead" car...

NP Marc. Anyways, right now for the GA's, the CF SC/T hood that I have is $699 + S&H but could be brought down to ~$600 with 5 or so buyers (less if there are more). This is seriously some quality stuff. My hood uses the stock latches, lined up perfectly and weighs in at 23 lbs. Not much more you could ask for IMO.

i'd enjoy an OEM style carbon fiber hood, but some sort of aftermarket looking fenders would be nice too, just not Z3.

also for the hood, is this gonan be available for the 99's? or older models? cause the ones after 99 use hood props.

also as for the trunk, is it possible to leave the trunk tail lights out, for the shaved trunk look.......if not its cool.

probably would be cheaper doing a shaved trunk, so its one piece instead of two.

To answer all your questions at once, yes all of the above can be done. It's just a matter of if you guys really want the parts and can pony up and front the cash. I don't know if they're going to have preorders or what, but I'd expect at least some type of refundable deposit to ensure things on their end.

'Cause so far, everyone's come up with some great ideas but none of them are that focused.

Here's the deal ya'll:

5-10 people would be required, if you could have them put down a $100 refundable deposit that would speed up the process, for a large part like a hood. 20% down of the retail value on any other parts. The smaller parts, well if we could locate the parts quickly, we can begin molding right away, and if we get the deposits we can get more hoods ready before Jan/Feb hopefully.

So- figure out a hood design you want, get me some pics and PM me if you are SERIOUSLY interested and have money to deposit.

I am interested ina boser hood, theres already a topic somewhere on here with pics, its nothing to flashy but gives the car a nice look, you could probablly work in a scoop or something. I think there were a few people interested in the other topic so we will see, but if its 100$ deposit Ill do it...as long as I can pay like 100 every 2 weeks(thats when i get paid)..

$100 deposit sounds great but what would the total for the hood be? I'll see if I can't get some pictures of the hoods I would like up in the next couple of hours.
