Carpet Clean or New Carpet
So I have been pondering...my carpets are looking a little ragged and no matter how many times I use a home carpet cleaner or the can carpet cleaner they really never look that much better. I know a professional carpet cleaning can do wonders so I am curious as to what everyone's opinions would be regarding this matter. Professional carpet cleaning to try to revive the carpet and cloth interior or simply buy new carpet?
I spilled some protein shake on my backseat as well and it has milk products in it...I haven't been able to get out the stain and my car smells a bit funky as of late. Anyone have any products they would suggest?

yeah, I would have just put seat covers on the thing right after you got it. Unless they are leather seats, but thats not your case. Seat covers can do wonders, I have a set of Browning Camo ones, and they have neopren (sp ???) in them so that water or any other liquid soak into the seats.

I have spilled an entire gallon of milk by having it on the floor and smasshing it with my seat when sliding it back. You can take some dawn liquid dish detergent a bucket of watter and a scrub brush and srub it then suck it out with a wet dry vac. Or my method use the garden hose on low for endless supply of water while scrubbing

back seat = take the seat out and put the cloth covers in the washing machine with your laundry. *won't work with leather...duh.
if the smell is in the foam, clean the foam while the covers are off.

So, not one person has addressed the original question about the carpet.
I found several sources for between $150-$200 for pre-formed Alero carpet. I'd just get new, pull up all padding etc.
Use a ionizer or like product to neutralize everything, and start fresh. Literally and figuratively.

Our stock covers can be removed and washed? Or is that just for the backseat?
Wouldnt washing them in a machine screw up the fit when they are reinstalled?
