Yep, NEVER run the power wire through anwhere there is hinges, hood or door jambs.

I've seen SO many DIY installs that were about to cretae a lot of fire damage to thier vehicle, if I hadn't caught it. Pinched wires not only create a fire risk from shorting, but also from increased resistance at that area which creates heat, which creates more resistance, which creates more heat, and the cycle keeps going until the wire finally melts and creates a fire or at the very least blows the fuse under the hood.

The grommet is SO easy to find, I really don't understand how someone can not see it, when looking under the dash, pull the hush panel off and see the wire harness groing througyh the firewall? Boom there it is.
