Ive got a 99 Alero coupe w/the 3.4L.It is time to buy a set of new tires for my car.I've been looking on the net for a new set,and this is mind boggeling.Does anybody have any suggestions for a good A/S performance tire in the stock 225/50-16 size?I was looking at Falkens 512 H speedrating $312/set from Discount tire direct or Sumitomo HTR+ V speedrating $315/set from eBay.Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks!!!!!

+1 for the fuzions, Kumho Ectsas are good. are you looking at an all season tire or just summer?
I'm not sure if they make em in our stock size, but ask about the Continental Conti-Extremes, they are a good all season tire.
And for just the summer, two of the best for grippiness are the BFG G-Force, and Pilot-AS.

It depends on your driving style? I use Cooper Zeon 2XS and they are excellent for wet and dry, and they look good to

I have sumitomo's and I have no complaints. I have about 5k on them. Seem to have plenty of traction so far this winter.

Fuzions = teh roxorz in the summer (hot and dry; or rain)
fuzion = teh suck in the winter (ie: snow and ice)

I have Yokohama AVS db S2's on my car. Have had them for about 10K. No problems, great in any weather dry, wet, and snow!

For those that say that their tires suck in the snow.... DUH!. I mean come on unless you buy snow tires almost any tire will suck in the snow.

^ true, but this is why we are giving him this advice. If he's looking for all-season tires, don't get Fuzions. If you don't get much snow (if any at all), or are confident in your snow driving capability, by all means, go for it!

RIP OFF!! Those tires suck for how much they charge you for them just fyi. I'd take the Traction T/A over them any day.

kuhmo ecsta supra all seasons....i forget wich...711 or 712 349 mounted and balanced, and they have better traction then the 711? version which is a summer performance tire....every one that has the performance version has alot of wheelspin problems.....mine the all seasons...grab hard after 2 or 3 feet
