What now ?
ok so after replacing my parking brake lever in my car, i had too much slack in the cable line, So I adjusted my e brakes, but didnt do anything to remove the slack from the line, so I had richie,(aftermathalero) take a look at it and after he couldnt figure it out either I am now coming to you guys,.
So inorder to get my ebrake to work, whats my next step ?I don't really need the ebrake to work but I like for all my things to work on my girl.
Should I try replacing the cables ? Richie and I both was like what the heck... the cable coming from the lever inside the car to where it splits underneath is too long, but the funny thing is that that cable is the same for when the ebrake was working .... so I am kinad lost as what to do.

i dont think i stretched it and if I did I dont know how I did that, but yeah we adjusted the screw at the rear wheels and was still unable to get the ebrake to work, Richie said to exchange the part, but I don't see what good thats gonna do, so should I just replace my lines ?

hmmm how is it you can get comments on threads that are pointless and not about aleros, but when you need assistance for something like this no one really comments?

Maybe because nobody has any experience with your issue?
Is the cable loose in the back?

I dont know, did you try bleeding the brakes? Yesterday I got mine fixed (needed to pass the inspection). What the mechanic did was adjust the cable, bleed the brakes, and clean them. I have rear drums though, so I dont know if this applies to you. Also did you check the brake pad? My mechanic said he has seen cases in which brake pad seperates (metal part, from braking part). Theres my two cents hope that helps

well everything seems to be fine minus the cable to the ebrake ....its like its too long and needs to be shorten to be effective, and looking at it from under the car it is loose until it splits to each wheel and then its like norm

If you REALLY wanted to get picky, regarding the emergency brake (and ONLY the emergency brake) it is always drums.
P.S. I DO know what you mean though.

The rear disc has internal drums with brake shoes to operate the parking brake.

If everything has been installed correctly the first place to check would be the adjustment for the rear brake shoes. If this doesn't work, you may need to replace any stretched cables.
Are the brakes grabbing at all when the lever is applied? If they are grabbing, is there a chance that the spring that retracts the cable has broken, or become caught up?

it is grabbing when u pull it. But the cable is long. Maybe the new ebrake lever you got has an adjustment for the cable. Cuz you said before u changed it out, it was working fine. and now they dont work w/ the new lever.

well on a side note richie I think I am gonna have to take that bumper off cause its breaking more, and I am scared its gonna break while I am driving, and be dragging it with no way to fix it,at this point I am sooooo frustrated with my sister. And with that bumper , to the point where I dunno if I want to stick with it at this point, thought about just going back to stock and later on down the road when I have the money to do everything right, then add the kit I want.
