1000 rpm idle
alrigth so since i've bought this car its has a high idle of a thousand rpms and its time to be fixed. i've shearched past forms have found things like Idle Air Control and the tps. is there a way i could test them an dose anyone have other thoughs on this.... I do have a warm air intake(budget) on it and was wondering it that could be affecting it. other then that im at a loss.

have the same 2.4, stick, and mine idles at 1g too man..i think its normal call me crazy?!

mine is about 750 warm, and 1k and slightly over when cold. Check the hoses on you TB I know some of mine were going bad, so I replaced them, that may be the cause

hey ya i just checked that earlyer today looked good. throtle body looked clean and every thing up to par.

How about your air filter? or IAT sensor? (intake air temp) just some thoughts. Other than that IDK.

check ALL your filters and fluids. (good idea to do anyway) but I bet it's the vacuum leak. My 2.4 idles around 500 rpm.

fuilds and filters well im always on top of that..i'll have a better look the vacum side of thing though, thanks guys.

500 realy? I thought 750 was low. lol

Stock automatic transmission idles at 550 at normal operating temperature without A/C or anything on.
