Painting the vents.
What is the best kind of paint for interior plastic? Also where could I buy some and how much does it cost?
I don't want shiny paint... I just want to paint the vents so it looks a bit nicer (I'm staying with the stock colors.)

I repainted my center console, I tried a flat paint at first and it didnt look quite right, so i resanded and went with semi-gloss. I just used regular spray paint. seems to work well.

make sure you clean the plastic to get rid of any oil or silicon. the paint won't want to stick to that crap if it's on the surface.
you may want to shoot it with a plastic primer first, too. then spray with your preferred rattle can.

I dont know anything about your style.
But if i could go back in time, I definitely not have painted my interior. Not that its bad I just think stock is alot more "classy" and will look better in the long run, especially if its a DD.
Also remember to read the HOW_TOs & FAQS about interior painting. It will save you alot of trouble when you get in there and do it.
ALSO--do you plan on doing any kind of interior lighting. ITs a hella lot easier to do it all while you have the dash apart. Instead of taking it apart many different times.

Amen to that.... I wish I never did it now.... I finally painted it to make it look somewhat decent.... still not good... so I think within a year, I'm just going to pass the car down to my little brother and not claim any of that work as mine. haha

Dont get me mistaken. Mine looks fine and dandy but its kinda (omfg i cant believe im saying this) Ricey.
I plan on doing all the other mods on my list and if i plan on keeping the car until it breaks down then i'll just buy another alero (prolly a two door) and just flip-flop the parts across to one another depending on what i want in what.

I love mine, make me feel at home. Yall don't like it but then again most of you think sitting on ice cubes will warm you up... Why you would pait it stock color unless um you fubar'd it already, or thought you wanted to see if stock color is really your stock color is beyond me. Definatly don't worry what most these guys say, it's all opinions. Worry if 2 people in a row who get into your car look at it weird. Or of Billy says, "Damn I should have used that Blue!"

Wll the thing is I'm not making the interior different colors, I just think that with the tan leather interior it would look better if the vents were painted black.
Eventually I will probably get my seats re-upholstered to be black eventually.
