Okay, I'm not really a Vancouver or Calgary fan. But since I've been an Avalanche fan since before they were in Denver, I'm totally anti-Vancouver (I hated them for years before the Bertuzzi-Moore incident). So, a Calgary fan by default...for now at least.
So to that end...99, b-spot, sparkey...you've got one good cheer for your boys from me. Especially after the 4-0 pounding tonight!
BTW, I don't really see Calgary being the Wild or Ducks of this year. Remember before the regular season was done and everybody was saying that they didn't want to be the #3 seed and have to play Calgary? Good defense, good goalie, team with nothing to lose = scary first round series for any Cup contender. Don't get me wrong...the Flames are great, I just don't think that they'll surprise anyone like Minnesota and Anaheim did. Everybody knows how good the Flames are. They just might not be able to do anything about it.
Go Nashville! (I absolutely HATE the Red Wings too...)

^Naw man, you've got to have fun with it while it lasts. The parties here are INSANE right now! You'd think we were in the cup finals if you showed up here. Tonnes of fun driving around and honking after wins...

We got there about an hour before the game (7:30), just as they started to make people line up outside. We got in after about 5 mins and had to sit on folding chairs on the minigolf green but it was a good spot, and a table freed up after the first period. It was awesome, everyone was crazy, it was the next best thing to goin to the game. That 30' screen is rediculously huge

Not after the Avs throw the smack down on the Stars on Saturday. They re-seed after the first round, so if Calgary and Detroit both win, then Detroit plays the Flames, since they're the lowest remaining seed and then San Jose and Colorado. If Vancouver wins (ick!) then the seeds remain 1-2-3-4 and Detroit plays Colorado and Vancouver plays San Jose.
That's half of the reason that I'm going for the Flames. First half is just to kick Canuck butt cuz I hate them. The second is so that Aebischer gets another round of playoff experience before they play Detroit in the conference finals. Assuming all goes well, of course.
Actually, now that I think about it, Colorado-Dallas doesn't matter. If Vancouver wins, they play San Jose. If Calgary wins, they'd have to play Detroit if Detroit wins or the Colorado-Dallas winner if Nashville beats Detroit.

bah, triple overtime and now there's a game seven. I'm not really cheering for one team over another but I would've liked to have seen calgary pull off the comeback.
