Heres another one. I have heard some bad things about doing business with them though.

Yup, just more air, especially if the intake manifold is ported.

what more indepth do you need? air in = air out. Unless your air passage through the engine can't take any more air, due to room restraints. You port your intakes, you have more room for more air.

ummm... i might be wrong... but here's what i've learned from reading the forums
for normal street driving... the WAI is what you want... very little chance of your engine sucking up water and other stuff...
and if your going to S.I.R. well add a couple more pipes and convert your WAI into a CAI.
That is probably best case scenario. I have a k&n drop in filter... but soon a WAI. If i got a ported manifold and a bigger throttle body... it probably wouldn't help much with a drop in filter.

WAI for a little more power and better fuel economy, CAI for more power than the WAI, but worse fuel economy. At least thats what Ive read in the forums.

with the right tubing, you could convert one to the other, easily. (mount the CAI and leave it in the fender)
other then that, no, its not possible. Your car would always have a WAI if you installed both, simultaneously.

damn haha oh well id probably just go with a WAI and make a custom heat sheild and figure out the best way to get the coldest air
