I HATE PASSLOCK, I HATE PASSLOCK, I HATE PASSLOCK, I HATE PASSLOCK, I HATE PASSLOCK, I HATE PASSLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have problems with passlock on my chevy colorado all the time and now it appears I have passlock problems on my 04 Alero.
I'll start from the beginning. It's long, sorry.
Don't shop at Advance Auto parts, They suck. About a month and a half ago I purchased new hoses, a belt and a fuel filter. They had to order all the hoses and when they came in the next day one was cracked in a bend. So they had to reorder it. A few days later it comes in but it's the wrong hose! A week later and it finally comes in.
Sunday I get around to working on the car. Changing the belt is a be-och! There should be a 3/8 drive hole on the tensioner but there isn't. there is a round hole, WTF! Luckily I have a tool that worked.

Then I started on the hoses. I removed the battery and intake. Well I lost one of the hoses... So I put the other ones on and I find out the passenger side hose is the WRONG one! Needless to say today I ordered those two from Oreilly Auto, in stock and they got pulled the correct ones the first time.
I get home tonight and put it all back together, do an oil change change the fuel filter and filled it up with water. Woo hoo! Did I mention it's been 100 degrees here?
I went to start it and it just cranks and cranks. I knew it was the passlock because my truck does it. Well I let it sit for 20 min and the security light never goes off. Also the radio says calibrate on it. I left the battery out for a little over a day. Could that cause problems?
Should I get ready and bend over and take it to the dealer?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
