42k miles, Intake gasket AGAIN! And I was mistaken, the first one went at 40k miles, not 36k.

Can't recall exact milages of the problems but heres the list

Major stuff:

5. Cat Conv replaced (around 83,000 mi)
6. Transmission Slipping (around 88,000 mi)
7. Wheel Bearing about to go out.

Minor Stuff:

99 2.4 Only 45,000 miles

I have had the car for almost 2 years, it had 17,000 miles on it when I bought it.

25,000 - all rotors and brake pads replaced

Only other problem is the turn signal problem.

Woa. You folks seem to be having a string of bad luck... My car has 36,000 miles on it and only one problem. My domelight. Ever since I changed the bulb it won't come on all the time. when I open the doors, keyless unlock or just go to turn it on in the car while driving it won't always turn on without giving it a little tap. but that's my fault. I say, perform more preventive maintenance on your vehicles! Know what could go wrong before it does go wrong. Can't stress that enough.

I change the oil every 3,000 miles. My boyfriend is a mechanical engineer, and his dad is a mechanic. I have one of them look under the hood about once a month, or whenever I hear a funny noise or anything feels different. You really can't prevent rotors or wheel bearings from going. I know when they are getting to needing to be replaced, so I haven't had any problems. I also caught "the leak" before I lost any noticeable oil or coolant.

2001 V6 GL Coupe. 43k miles (bought new)

All fixed under warranty. (most were TSB's)

1. Standard gasket leak (leak also wrecked the starter motor which was replaced)
2. Blower motor card
3. Scratches on drivers side window
4. Loose rear window molding.
5. Front brakes - rotors turned, pads replaced
6. Front bushings replaced due to noise
7. Hazard light switch replaced.

Not sure on the mileage on these. A couple other minor items were fixed as I recall (under warranty)

Or maybe it's just that we can go faster, so we have to brake harder. :P

My n-car's Eco-Techs all 4 of them would get rotors about every 4-5K miles. Yes I was hard on them but it was all in a days work.

Yeah you 3.4 people can go faster, but only when your cars aren't in the shop getting the intake gasket repaired. Sorry I could not resist.
