Aftermarket Automatic Trans Shifter Knob question

The shifter knob broke on my Alero, I see that AutoZone sells "aftermarket" universal type replacement. Has anyone installed these on their car and do they work as good as the original?

see that clip in the back of it? just pop that out of the stock one then slide the one you want on it, you might have to mess around with the boot though.

I put a Nokya Billet Aluminum one on mine. Simple and looks pretty good.

Here's something similiar, but I only paid 3.99 for mine.

I have an aftermarket autozone one. I have to retighten the screws every so often, and it gets really hot when it is really hot out. Likewise when its cold.I like it though. Installation is really simple as well.

And Yeiah! This is my 1000th post.

the boot was honestly the hardest part since it wanted to slide out of the plastic trim... but so far its held in right and looks and feels amazing... also try the Bonneville ... the leather trimmed knob looks and feels 10x better

Its aluminum too. Only yours probably doesn't get hot because you haven't parked your car in 106* temperatures with your windows closed.
