Aftermarket head unit went dark...

So I have a Panasonic head unit (not sure on the model now) that is around 3 years old or so. Recently I have noticed the brightness has gone down dramatically and I am not sure why. I have tried to up the contrast, but it still doesn't fix the issue. Is this an issue people have heard of and my head unit is toast or is there an easy fix I should try? Everything else works fine on it...

Thanks

justin

got a link to the exact model?

If its LCD based them you probably have an LED thats went out.

It might be repairable if you can solder good and have some know how.

Otherwise look for a face plate on E bay.

Alright, the exact model is a CQ-C7401U http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...odel.CQ-C7401U. The funny thing is that it came on for a few minutes and then it stopped after i started driving. I just don't know anymore.

Let me know what you guys think

Given the display type your probably SOL.

Find another face is your best bet. Maybe try an electronics repair place? Whats it worth to ya? probably $40 to get an estimate if you dont repair it...
