Exclamation Radio Issue

I recently got a new Pioneer radio as a gift and I was having my stepdad Help install it but he says there is an adapter that I need that they dont make anymore could anyone help me out?

My Alero is a 2000 V6 Coupe.

No adapters that are discontinued AFAIK. Just wire it up one by one. There's usually instructions that come with the headunit, and you can find wiring diagrams searching online for what the car's wires are.

Or take it to a radio place and they'll install it for you for like $100.

I'm sure if you look around ebay and such you can find one. If I recall, you need an additional 'ding' box or something for aftermarket radios? its been a long time...

Isn't that year dependent? I thought that only 2001- needed that.
