gonna hav to back chris up on this one, the fact that the back tells its an olds alero makes the stickers slightly unecissary and riceish. lol. but to each his own.

Not crazy on the "Alero" front sticker. I like the olds logo in back though. could just be that I think its a wicked logo.

Most people don't like those types of stickers, FYI. For the exact reasons in my post above. It's like, duh, it's an Alero, no need to further blast it out there. I see so many Civics, Mustangs, etc. with "MUSTANG" and "HONDAAAAAAAAA" on their windshields and such.

There is a difference in giving negative responses and giving negative responses and being a douche while your at it. You singled me out becuase it makes your car SO much better. I like the stickers becuase they represent the love i have for olds mobile and aleros and its to show others that. NOT to say hey im just telling everyone i have an alero. But you should go ahead and tell me MY thoughts during that process.
Just next time be like: I think that looks stupid. End of story

I had the symbol on the back of my 2 prior Olds, (Cutlass Supreme and Achieva)
It was a huge fad in the Baltimore area in like 97. It didnt last long and people started laughing at anybody who did it. Hence the fad died. I like the sticker, but then again all the people who make fun of you probably isnt worth it, and the point they make about duh its an olds is true. Now yes I have had mine mistaken for an Eclipse and even a Supra (I do not know why a Supra) But come on, unless you have some MAJOR modifications and the car looks nothing from stock, any dillhole that has common knowledge of cars should know its an Alero, If not they need to pick up some magazines or go on the internet and learn about different makes and models, lmao.
I am not cutting on anybody in here, it is all in personal opinion. I am just saying be prepared to be made fun of. If that doesnt bother you. Rock on with your stickers. Like I said I did it once upon a time, and I am sure at one point everyone else had some sticker on their car that could be deemed weetarded

^That's because they make sure that when they post they make you feel good even though they don't like the way it looks; they're afraid to say anything that might hurt your feelings. My intial post showed, comically, how I felt as well as explained why. You took it well, then once someone else said something you jumped all over me as if "how could you say that! these stickerzzzz are awesome!" Read my posts again, then your responses. I had perfectly valid points and came across with a levelheaded approach. Then you stepped it up.

Unfortunately you were incapable of seeing that I'm just saying that's what everyone else takes it as... everyone you encounter on the road is going to be like "... wow, it's an Alero, thanks for telling me." I know you put them on because you <3 Olds but most people rip on people who drive Oldsmobiles as is, and considering quite a hefty amount of ricers put their model stickers on their windshield like "INTEGRA" so when you do things that are associated with a negatively connotated crowd, expect to get the reactions as if you were part of that crowd.
I had a effing aluminum wing on my Alero when I first got it. Not because I thought the car was fast, but because I liked the way it looked. Everyone hated it, I got ripped on massively on here and some in person. Ricers had wings on, I had one on, therefore I was associated with ricers. It happens. I kept it on for a long time because I stood by what I liked. Then I took it off after realizing I didn't want to be associated with slowtastic riceboxes like every Civic, Escort, etc. that has one on.

What in the world does that mean? That sentence was nowhere near coherent.

not my style, but it doesn't look bad. just silly for the reasons posted above. but its your car, do what you want. ( i see stuff like that on cars around here all the time, so its pretty common thing to do)
also, it'll make it easier to find which is your silver alero in the parking lot. quite a few times i've walked up to a maroon alero in the general location of where mine is, wondering why the doors aren't unlocking.

Hey i never said your points weren't valid. I didn't even know that logo decals are a fad or were a fad or whatever. I got them because i wanted to keep my color scheme of silver/black and that was all i could come up with. But what I said was you could have proved your points by not being such a sarcastic smart ass.
And besides, your saying you can't say something looks bad without being mean? Its called giving respect. But i guess your too high on your throne to do that.
Congrats on getting AOTM. . .

I wouldn't say its fad, in fact I think its good to be different, cause in some areas all the Alero's are plain and all the same so its cool to be outside of the box, if it was a Honda or Mitsubishi it would be less original. I see that most people notice stuff like that on the site because we are the few that have chosen to modify our Alero's with a limited market for accessories or they don't want to see Alero's end up labeled as ricer cars, but there are Alero's out there that are on the verge of doing that hence that green spider car on car domain. I could build my car and end up with the only car like that in my town and probably a 50 mile radius if not more and still end up with the same cars as like 10 guys on this site but the main thing would be is that my car would be different then every other Alero in the area that I live in.

We figured this out already. You post your pictures, you get responses. I said what I did to be sarcastic, it was funny, I explained why; you said you like it and that's all that matters, and I agreed. Then you started insulting ME personally.

I never said that. Of course I can say I don't like the way something looks without being "mean." You made it open game when you decided to put those stickers on there and post them up. All over the place people get joked on for those stickers for the EXACT reasons I posted! Don't you get it? You're taking the whiny bitch route and complaining over a harmless jest of "Good thing you have those massive stickers so that everyone will know what kind of car it is." Seriously, what the eff. If you can't handle someone saying that, you're going to need a lot of therapy through your life with your fragile feelings.
Even after I apologize for my harshness yet honesty, you continue.

SUMMARY:
- Newb posts pictures of his "ALERO" and Olds logo stickers.
- I say "Good thing you have those on there so everyone will know what it is now."
- He says "Wow, thanks."
- I explain that a hefty amount of ricers have these, which brings down his image, and the stickers are widely regarded as pretty pointless.
- He says "Well I like it and that's all that matters."
- I say that I agree.
- He gets a sudden testosterone burst and says I'm the GOD of all cars and whatever I say IS ALL.
- I say that I'm not, I just am unafraid of saying what it is.
- He goes on to tell me I'm a douche for being "so mean" when I could've just said "I don't like it."
- I apologize.
- He calls me a douche again.
- I further explain my reasoning since he didn't understand it the first time around.
- He calls me a "sarcastic smart ass" with no respect, and I'm "too high on my throne." Then sarcastically congratulates me on winning the Alero of the Month.
I find it somewhat funny that he focuses in on me and is blind to everyone else who agreed with what I said, just because I was the first one who said it. At least I was kind enough to EXPLAIN WHY I DIDN'T LIKE IT rather than just say "Looks like crap." I GAVE YOU THE REASON! You turned it into a personal attack on me.

Big a$$ stickers arent my style...i mean i used them in need for speed on playstation..lol...but travis not everyone gonna agree with some mods you do and some will be more brash than others but you cant expect everyone to play it off nice....that unrealistic...thats not real life...if someone said your mod look liked shit in person would you:
A) throw a big fit about it and start a pointless arguement
B) Be like whatever, keep rollin and be happy in what you did
If you said A then you need tougher skin, cause the world aint gonna baby you, If you said B then you are good to go
People rag on me for driving my alero and dont talk about when I supercharged it they were like are you effing serious...i was like yeah my car my money....i got ragged on just the other day for building up engine...i was told to by another better car, a v8 but I pay them no mind cause thats their opinion and they entitled to it...sugar coated or not its theirs...personally i dont care...sometime people give advice with their opinions which is cool but at the end of the day i make the call.
So all i am saying just be prepared to all kind of reactions to your post calling for opinions, like our cars there all these different personalities on this forum you are liable to get anything for a response...positve, negative, retarded, non constructive....and if you have an issue with the such...dont post and no harm will be done. Just my words of hopefully wisdom
Hey Midgear I need some pie!!!!

Yeah my bad guys. I guess i just got offended. Being this is my first and only car and I'm just starting to mod it, i just jumped on the first person to say they didnt like it. I'm putting a lot of hard ass working money into this thing and i would hate to see it put into something stupid. Ion, i shouldnt have talked bad about you personally or anything. Its just when you did that stupid kitty picture post it just felt like you were looking down on me and thats why i said those things. I do apoligize to you and I'm being serious when i say congrats on AOTM. You got a sweet car. I'm just a guy with an alero who hopes to compete one day.
