Tuning with hp tuners

Hey! I am trying to get my 3500 GAGT dialed in but I realized that I have a few things to do to get going in the right direction. I am looking for a good link or info on getting my VE set up correctly so that I can recalibrate my MAF again since I did that first I was reading a how-to for LS engines but the settings are different from the V6 settings. I am running a 3500 VE tune right now but it feels like it has some flat spots where it dose not pull as hard as is should. I really would like to see what this thing is capable of with the headers, exhaust, TB....

any help would be great!

thanks

With Bens write up there just add to the filter string SENS.90>0
This will omit decel and idle. Idle should be done on its own. Also, if you VE tune and can handle the banging gears while you do because you are in SD mode, unplug the MAF to fail it and use the LTFT+STFT applied to your VE Mapping. Always multiply by % half until you get desired results. Do not make adjustments to your intake air and cyl charge temp tables as GM did a really good job on those. A lot of people mess with those and they really shouldn't. Also when VE tuning make sure you set the tune up so that in OL its aiming for 14.7:1 The OL tables are all over the place and the reason we didn't VE tune in the past. With the OL tables available to us now, VE tuning can finally be done correctly on a V6
