ok guys my repair guy is saying that the hood has ripples in it and it wont look good when painted. is this true? can it be fixed with a little filler?

well if your getting it painted.. fix the ripples. You'll just pay more for the ripples to be fixed. But your painting it like said so you don't see the nature of carbon fiber material.

i am trying toget the insurance company to pay to fix them. sence i got my replavement hood for much less than the cost i payed for my hood new

sounds like your body shop doesn't want to paint it period.

geedog had his painted with no problem. so maybe your body shop doesn't know how to work with CF or something. but i would say they are working against ya.

tell them to smooth out the ripples and paint the SOB and stop beoing kitty's about it.

well i call the claims people and i am takeing my car else where to fix the hood i must find a shop in mi that will paint the hood and fix it if need be

Take it to WCC and see if they can do for you. Free labor you pay for the materials.
