ok so i used that caliper painting kit that i used on my aleor, only i used two colors this time. i got creative. i def. recommend this kit to everyone who paints their calipers. its a lot easier then spray paint cuz u brush it on and its thick. i did about 8 coats. lol just make sure u clear coat it so its wet looking
caliper at the start
first coat of paint
8 coats
final product. painted the brake pad backing and brace black and the caliper red

Looks good, but why red.
It's a good contrast IMO, but I probably would have done blue
Are they the same calipers that are on the Alero?

Looks good Paul!
Did you take the calipers off/apart to paint or leave them on?
If you left em on, how did you mask for the clearcoat?

u paint it on wiht a brush. its not spray paint. and as u can see in hte pic, i jacked up one side. i would put one coat on one caliper, then go to other one and put a coat on, hten back to other one. back and forth like 8 times. hten clear coated. so it dries fast

I only ask because you have a pic of the clearcoat in a spray can..... Did you not mask anything off when you sprayed the clearcoat on?

I painted mine red as well, IMO the reds the best color no matter what vehicle color is just because the purpose of the pain is to stand out, but neways a quick question, anyone heard of engine enamel Chrome paint??? i was thinking that chrome calipers would be CRAZY nice behind some gunetal rims with the chrome lip...ahh I can see it now :-D
