If you look in this pic you can see how the lettering is wrapped up (sorta like a present). It took some time, but all I did was use my 1/4 inch pinstriping I got for my tail lights and wrap them in it.

here.. lemme find a better pic..

yeah, see if this makes sense.. I had bad luck with everything except the pinstriping because it doesn't stick too bad & it stretches nicely. It's still a bitch & I had to use tweezers, lol.

I had to call it an eary day because I have work at 4am tomorrow, so I couldn't do all the polishing today. Also, WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY IT WAS SO HARD TO GET THE THING BACK ON?

Anyway, I just have "stage 1" half-assedly done. I'll pick up the paint tomorrow after work, come home for lunch and get back to work on that thing.

It's NOT hard to put back on.... read what I posted for Marie. You have to loosten the pipes up and take the oil cap off for it to be easy.

can you point to which nuts/bolts you loosened for the pipes? nothing worked with the pipes for me.

Then you can pull the pipe toward the driver's side while putting it back in. It just helps to get the plug under there.

You're not doing flat/solid red are you? I think you should go with a darker red if red at all. Maybe like I suggested for Marie.

well, a dark red would go very well with my color scheme. And I am keeping the colors to a minimum. Gonna be mostly metal and black under the hood.

edit: I do have a CAI on the way. Should be arriving on the 28th. I'm hoping that it fits with the way the piping is bent....
