AM/FM Antenna

So,

I got my windows tinted. Now, I don't have a strong signal from either frequencies. Sucks, what should I do?

the probably forgot to plug you antenna back in after doing the tint, because the antenna is inside the rear window. im not sure which is which, just check that both of the wires that are suppost to be plugged into the rear window are.

the aluminum in the tint will do that in some cases

It's a pretty common problem when ever the rear is tinted. Could try a signal booster but other then that not much you can do. Something like this should do the trick, not sure if this is the model for you but this is to show that they do exist. If you cant find one with the right connections on either end it isn't that difficult to splice the correct connection points on there just have to find them at like radio shack or some place like that.Attachment 3161

Um,

How do those work? I'm thinking it might be the aluminum, but I'll double check all connections. Thanks!

yea, cheack the connection in the passenger side c-pillar. Thats most liekely where it would be apart. Also if you have a aftermarket stero, make sure you ran a power wire around to the stock booster b\c the harnesses (at least mine) didn't have it included. After that, just get a aftermarket booster. I have an aftermarket booster of ebay along with my stock booster and I get REALLY good reception.

I checked all connections, all are good. It seems it is the paper causing it. Sucks.

You just pop it in between your head unit and the antenna wire. Then hook +12v to it and presto all done. Pretty easy as long as the connections match up.
