MP3 CDs

Well,

Let's see if you guys are Audio Savvy :P

When you typically burn a CD, you get around 20 songs, correct? But, when you burn it in MP3 format (Like Nero Jukebox) it allows you put a great load of them. Ok, so, I burned a CD with around 30 songs with this. My home stereo says "Mp3 Supported" and read it. My kenwood says the same thing, but it takes a long time to read the CD and when it reads it, it displays the songs name but only one song. Any help?

make sure your using a correct mp3 format. (there are a couple different ones) and mp3 cd's generally take longer to read, in older mp3 reading units....

did u accidentely put them all in different folders on the MP3 CD? Try another one and make sure you didn't see if that CD works. It will always take longer to read tho.

Nay,

I used Nero Jukebox, automatically did it. I might use again with different settings I guess since now Media Player reads every CD as Data instead of media I'll try different settings tho.

Why dont you try recording the MP3 using the cd wizard. All you have to do is insert the blank cd, go to my computer, then your cd drive, paste and organize the songs onto the cd drive, and finally on the left side you will see an option that says burn these files onto CD. Click on it and follow the instructions that come up. This is what I always use to record MP3s and it has yet to fail me on any MP3 player. And like Cherrington17 said, make sure you record this on a cdr or cdrw rather than a dvdr or dvdrw.

Forgot to say this in my previous post but also, like cherrington17 said earlier, pay attention to the format of all the songs. I know my friend's MP3 player would not play an MP3 cd unless it was all in the same format whether it was all MP3 or all WMA, but all the songs had to be the same format. Also maybe your stereo doesnt play WMA only MP3. Just some thoughts.

actually... i was referring to the burn method. he said he was using nero, and more then once i've accidentally burned a data cd, instead of a music cd. for whatever reason, i guess the file system on the cd in each is slightly different, and my older players wouldn't read the data version.... so make sure your in the "music" category.

even if you did burn a data cd, if you used MP3 files it should still play. at least it does in my cheap $130 Pioneer.
