I'm starting to notice some lag in performance and I slightly smelled rotten eggs yesterday, which means my cat is starting to go bad. Since I don't fully know how to do exhaust, I was thinking about having a shop do it.
If I can acquire the parts, what set-up should I get? I was definitely thinking of the dynomax vt since it can be loud and quiet, but wanted input on a non-raspy cat and resonator, and possibly heads.
I know I've asked all this before, but I really don't want raspy. I have a 2.4 btw

no cat
replace cat with magnaflow straight through muffler.
if you're noticing cat issues, it will exponentially increase in severity to the point where you won't be able to go faster than 20-30 mph and it will take you damn long to get there too

I have pacesetter cat ready to put on. Its a 2.5in the honey comb is so nice you can actually see right though it.

check your state laws because no cat might be illegal and since your not an exhaust guy, you wont be able to just swap in the cat for inspection

For some reason I thought cat-deletes or straight-thru's destroy the muffler fast because of the emissions or something like that. Guess I'm wrong? That's why I ask!

yup. we dont have inspections in IL but it is illegal to run w/o a cat.
