Well last friday I finally got to play with an eco.
didn't get it setup exactly like I would of liked because of hood clearence but after pulling a resonator/ tuner tube out of the only stock piece left, it's very free flowing. I should have pix of the inside ot the box on the tb soon.
I'll have one ready to ship by next week if anyone is interested.
anyway here are the pix.

Looks sweet, long overdue, but worth the wait! How much we looking at, and just curious, does leaving the stock box above the TB have any affect on the performance?

I dont think it will
the only real restrictive part of that piece is the tube inside
and we pulled that out
leaving it with a fairly large opening and a straight shot at the tb.
its now like a small plenum. and the guy that has the intake is happy
he said he noticed a gain more up top than anything
I would of liked to dyno before and after but that between 100-150 just to see how it does
retail on the exact kit in the pic will prolly be close to 240 (inverted top K&N)
standard kit will be about 220 (regular K&N)

Wow, nicely done dude, looks good - How much without a filter at all? how big is the piping, and I am definitely looking forward to some dyno results - also, can you show a pic of it behind the front drivers side air dam on the bumper? Thanks.

can I also see a shot of all the peices that make it up as well - just curious how many, and what sorta bends you had to do to get it to fit in there. Good work man, and Im glad to see more attention being put on us lowly Ecotec guys, :P Keep it up!
P.s. any more plans for ecotec parts whether it be long term or short term...?

I'll be carrieing an ud pulley soon
I can also get all the gm parts as well as ones from rksport.
the intake is made up of 4 bends
3 90's you see and a 45 in the fenderwell that mounts the filter.
I can only get the pix they send me since the customer lives a little over 60 miles away

did you remove the tuner tube from the factory piece before replacing it?
a battery relow kit with the intake would pus cost way up
also what header are you using?

yeah i replaced the tuner pipe from the factory intake.... the battery relocate cost almost nothing im still using the factory battery tray all i used to mount it was some screws and a painted piece of wood most of the stuff i already had so it didnt cost me anything im using the rksport header which is a nice looking header but my flex pipe on the lower part of the header broke off once and i replace it with another heavy duty flex pipe and that on is already leakin exhaust other than that that header will make a big difference to that engine
