Question drum to disc brakes

my rear brakes are drum type. can these be easily switched to disc brakes?

also, how mucy difference do drilled or slotted rotors make?

you'd have to get the calipers, rotors, all the mounting stuff for back there, then run brake lines to the front and probably need a different master cylinder. basically thats all i think.

d/s rotors make a big diff, esp in wet weather

Rear upgrade to discs is actually quite simple:

1 - Obtain entire rear disc setup from a 99-03 GrandAm (including 'knuckles')
2 - Install on Alero/Malibu/GrandAm
3 - Enjoy increased braking power!

No lines, booster, master cylinder or any nasties to replace. Remember to get all the parking brake cables/hardware also. Perfect project for wrecking yard scrounging...

could you list all exact parts for whats needed from 99-03 grandam?

Wouldn't there be a different master cylinder? I know that discs require a bigger reservoir, unless they came up with a way to get around that with newer cars.
