rims

So I am going to get flamed for not searching but I was having a little trouble finding anything. I know a few people run 20" rims. I have a guy who wants to trade me. Not sure what tire size i would need and if this is a decent idea on my '00 4dr

I believe 245/35/20 will be the BIGGEST you can go. Might have some rubbing issues. 235/30/20 would be a very close size in diameter, compared to stock 215/60/15.
Hope you have some big bucks saved up, as 20" tires are not cheap at all.

there are a couple people that have/had 20s on their car. it works, but looks bad in most peoples opinions, and are easy to bend with so little rubber.

its your car so it's mostly up to you

I run 20s and don't see how they seem ricey...I wouldn't recommend it though because of the tire cost, and just the pain of everything costing more when you need to have something done. I would have went smaller if I had it to do over again. Would have saved a thousand bucks too!

Many people who went with 20s ran into clearance issues, most popular fix seems to be to bend the spring perch up out of the way - 'Hammer Time'

Seriously though, 18s are probably the biggest useful size on these cars and 17s still look nice while allowing for more rubbery softness. I've had both and will be getting 17s for my winter tires in the fall.

I didn't bend a thing...just put spacers on the back...rub was minimal...I found that I should have had an alignment after the rims because once I got an alignment the original spacers weren't big enough..but the rub was still very minimal.
