Street Machine Showdown!

Street Machine Showdown, April 27, '08, (Bandimere Speedway, Elev. 5860 ft., 55-62 deg. F.)

Ran in "Sport Compact Eliminator" (street legal / DOT tires mandatory), bracket, full tree

Air filter bypassed, "full" exhaust (but no resonator), 11-12 psi boost, iced intercooler, NGK TR 55's gapped to .045 BFG Drag Radials

1st trial.................. 14.713 @ 99.25, 2.441 60 ft.
This is funny, but it kind of set the tone for the day

2nd trial................. 13.841 @ 99.82, 2.007 60 ft.
Got a new best 60 ft. and mph, for what it's worth.... only run all day with a good launch.

1st Rd....................14.088 @ 97.74, 2.199 60 ft.

2nd Rd...................13.938 @ 97.50, 2.077 60 ft.

3rd Rd....................14.105 @ 99.77, 2.226 60 ft.
In the other lane was a stock Grandam GT, running mid-17's

4th Rd....................13.918 @ 97.36, 2.123 60 ft.

Semi-final...............14.136 @ 99.40, 2.236 60 ft.
back-to-back run

Obviously reached the limit of the D.R.'s.......forgot all about the tranny

239 timeslips and counting................

If the stock Grand-am GT was doing mid 17, and it is suppose to run around 15.9; 16.0. well those are really nice times dude. What is the elevation at this track?

don't forget that on altitude correction boosted cars are only a half factor so you won't see a full second or more time difference on boosted cars like you would on NA cars

I'm not sure what was up with that Grandam, my '03 Alero ran around 17.0-17.3 up here last year......

Didn't your original '99 Alero run a 16.7 with only an aftermarket muffler and CAI?
