led underglow
i can't believe i'm asking this.
but i purchased 100 blue leds. i am going to use a few in my car. but the rest would sit. so i thought maybe putting them under the car for underglow.
now here's the question. can just regular leds be used and are they bring enough/ look good enough. or is it just better to stil with a kit. i'd be ok with mounting different leds with silicone and hot glue. and it doesn't have to be super bright. just want to use up some leds

honestly the labor involved and risk of leds falling off isnt worth it. Just use em for something else or sell them and get a kit. Make your like 100x easier

yea it can be done, it will take a LONG time to get everything made to do it tho.
it would be something like this, which is a good write up.

actually i don't think you would get as much light output with a black rubber hose. clear will let all light available shine out. I'd recommend going to buy some clear stuff at your local hardware store of choice, the results will be better.

aquarium tubing. i think its 0.25"
sand the tips. put them about 1" apart.
I'm with silent. Its not a TON of work, but the tedium required to do the full car will be ridiculous. (then to troubleshoot them all.. :bang head: ) You can easily get 100 into other spots around the interior, then just buy an led kit from oznium.com its much cleaner, easier to install, comes with mounting stuff and pre wired.
