what do you mean sit in the rest of the car?
I'm surprised you didn't know about them. they came in the hurst.olds, W-30's and the GTO Judges from the factory. it was THE performance auto shifter of the 60's-70's.

I personally think it looks badass, it kinda goes with the e-brake and its' lether boot. I think I might have to do this mod once I get to the junkyard and find the trunk piece that is missing out of my car.

you can easily swap just about anything that'll fit with the U Clip
And i know of right now off hand these 3 used the Shifter Knob/Boot Combo
Pontiac Grand Am, Grand Prix, Bonneville
(Lol Quick guys what other GM cars used Shifter Boots on the Automatic's)

I don't like it per say... It's a 4 door, if I had a family I would rock that!
I don't so it's not my thing. Also it's not my thing... But think it looks great for a lot people. Definatly a great mod for 4door family cars. (imo)

lol j/k no what happened was the button broke off for some odd reason.. and i got sick and tired of seeing the greenish bright light shine thru at night.. so i spray painted a nickle and put it there lol

looks good. i just went to the yard today and grabbed the knob from a grand prix and it looks great. i gotta figure out somethin for a new e brake boot and shift boot.

you just take the stock ones and peel the rubber sleeve off of them...its really easy

oh man.. you found the leather wrapped knob... i had a feeling it'd look and prob feel 10x better
I pulled out that Black Plastic crap where the shifter sticks out of.. i think it looks better w/o it but to each their own... but hell it looks good man

Not sure why people like to do that. Now you have translucent light blue knobs that don't match anything whatsoever in the car. Makes the car look a lot cheaper with the rubber removed from the climate control knobs. :/
