my service engine light and trac light came on 10 min after testing my new intake by rsm why are these lights on and its causeing my car to shift ruff help please

It sounds like you didn't plug in the IAT sensor. Try pluging it back in and let the car idle for about 15 or 20 minutes.

I had mine hooked up a special way and when I had my manifold put in, my mech didn't know the way I had it hooked up so he left it unpluged and I had the same problem.

I'm don't know what the RSM racing intake looks like. If it has a hole for the sensor or not. If not just let it hang but make sure it's not near the fans or belts.

You might want to look into a IAT extenion on PFYC.com. You can move the IAT into the cone filter.

ok well heres what i did there is a hold for the senser i had the grey piece of it pluged in and the black piece was still in the stock intake tube i took the black piece out of it and pluged the sensor into it and then i put it back in my intake tube but the lights were still on took my car for a 5 min ride and it was still on put in in the garge will it take a bit for the sensor too work again and is this why the service engine soon light is on and the trac off light thanks

Hey redog thanks for your help i still have one prob let the car sit out there for 20 min trac light went off but service engine light still on it shifts normal now though does the engine light just need reset???????

Your service engine light won't go off for 50-100 ignition cycles or until you reset it
stop by your dealer and ask them to reset it. Tell them you unplugged the sensor changing your air filter and forgot to plug it in.
