like someone pointed out... it's not just about chopping off the top... if you did that you'de run a risk of your car breaking in half.

it's been covered plenty of times before. The roof on our cars are structural, as it is in all unibodies. However, the convertible was a frame/unibody hybrid (that's what I'm calling it anyway) It had more support in the bottom.

yes, the vert was there. So was a special edition Aurora with chameleon paint. no OSV last year though.

Besides the olds one /\ up there, I know I've seen a private party's black one but it was just a picture online so it may have been photoshopped

GM didnt even make there own verts, thay sent coupes to this company that converted them to convertibles.

I think that some other companies did them before, but I think all the ones now GM makes themselves. (at least the regular production ones)

I understan about the structure of the body and everything but picture it with the a.a.s. body kit nice cage put in for structure and a chopped top I think it would look sweet
