Coldfire is an unknown quantity at this point
KCE-422i Alpine iPod adapter

First off, the deck I used it with is the CDA-9857 so technically this review only reflects on how the cable worked with that specific deck...with that in mind, it works pretty damn good!

For those who don't know, the 422i enables the user to plug your iPod into your deck (the deck has to enable it) and then you just stick the iPod in your glovebox or somewhere out of the way and navigate all your songs/playlists through the deck itself...several other companies have similar systems that I haven't tested but I can now vouch for Alpine's-it's easy, and fast...it's pretty much identical to using your iPod and there's no delay or anything

Plus, with Alpine's "media expansion" or whatever the hell it's called, it restores compressed mp3 files to their original sound quality, and obviously you don't have the sound interference issues of an FM transmitter

If anyone wants to shoot me questions I forgot to address, feel free.
