Going to be a busy weekend once I get my car back.
SLP catback going on, 165amp alternator, Taylor 8mm plug wires. Hopefully the alternator will take care of the lights flashing with the bass hits.
And no, I don't have the girly bed cover stuff, thats the guest bedroom, I just tossed the stuff in there so its out of the way.
I was going to pay someone to put the exhaust on, then I saw how easy it's going to be. No welding makes it easy, even though I can weld.

Good stuff Smokin...Let us know how it goes...doing it all yourself right? Have fun with it and do you have any farads (spelling?) to get the lights to stop fading.

If by farads, you mean a capacitor, yes, I have a 1 farad cap. Caps help a bit for those quick bursts, but when you are running the type of power I am, they are next to worthless. Alternator is the first step, then its a red top under the hood.

Mmmm I have a red top. makes me happy just thinking about that.
I'll be moving my battery to the trunk fairly soon, Welding together a tray, and eventually have to add another.
But on the subject of that alternator: its more that stock right? Can you please post where you picked it up at? I'm interested in getting a higher output alt as well.
NICE EXHAUST!

$250 once you get it powdercoated and shipped.
Last december I paid $400 for a remanufactured alternator at Firestone, of course I got ripped on labor.
Now I do all the work on my car myself or with friends.

I don't see the reason for this post. SmoknAMD has a 3400 and if your refering to the welds on the muffler, that's how the SLP mufflers come. <_<What section is this in again. Oh ya, 3400 performance. Hmmmmm......

Shop class in highschool. If you can't properly weld, you don't pass the class.
I arc welded, Oxy-acetalene welded, and used a spot welder. Would you like to see some of the projects we had to weld together?

Yup, that was the case here too. I had 4 years of metals and computer classes.
I could have done woods, but saw dust pisses me off.

not to change the thread, or jack it, but ditch the capacitor, you're loosing spl, batteries are what you need, like ya said, a red top.
trust me on the cap, it lowers your voltage from whatever your supposed to get (14-15ish) a few points, they're marketing gimmicks mainly
