Rightyo, swapped out alternator and put on my new spark plug wires today. In order to get the belt off the alternator I stuck a ratchet in the tensioner and loosened it a bit. Now that I'm ready to put the belt back on, I can't get the damn tensioner to loosen up again, nor can I get the belt over the alternator.
I don't have any belt tools, just a socket set and my bare hands. So what the hell do I need to do?
Cause....having the 'ho dead in the water sucks.

hey dude, at the end of the tensioner, not the side where it mounts, there is a square hole. stick your ratchet in there with the handle facing upwards, and push forward, that'll rotate the tensioner back and loosen it..... then use your other hand and put the belt on the last pulley (you should obviously route the belt to all but 1 pulley before using the tensioner.)
2 minutes in m$ paint, you get the idea, hope this helps.
AIM me if you have to.

that doesnt seem possible, put some weight behind your scrawny ass or maybe you tightened the top one too tight and the coil/spring thing inside is binding

Nah, I'm just gonna tell mobs to get over here and fix it. Oh wait, thats easier said then done. I threw my cellphone against the garage door when I got tired of some stupid bitch calling me. So I lost all 70 or so numbers I had in my phone too. Oh well, the new phone is sweet, finally got a camera phone.

No, what I meant was, I have no strength in my arms. It was a struggle for me to get that thing back on, but i finally got it.
I can however do rooster pushups. Granted, you can only do one at a time, but it's a start.... :huh?:
Thats actually a "Tenacious D" song, btw.

If you would have pulled a pry bar out like mobs is also saying you could have moved it.
