Just spoke to one of my friends in the office @ Raceway Park in Englishtwon, NJ. Due to previous Oldsmobile Day turnouts there being sub-par, they've done away with Olds events as their own event for this year and rolled them into the US Muscle Drags days. The first USMD event is Saturday, May 29.
If we can promise him at least 16 cars (Aleros only or all Olds, it's up to us), he'll set up our own racing class with trophies for Winner and Runner-Up. No charge for this, though there would be if we want to have $ payouts. We can help sponsor the USMD for the day, too, if we want with Aleromod and/or the OCA Alero Chapter names on the flyers/info for a small nominal amount ("pretty cheap", he says) but he hadn't worked out anything yet since they're still formalizing the schedule and working through details on the earlier races.
I want to get a feel for how many Aleros we'd have if we were to formally do this with our own class at the race.
