Why not wire the inner tail lights to act as brake lights? I did a search didn't find anything on it, so here it is.

1. Go to a wrecking yard and get 2 sockets out of the main outer tail light.

2. Need to remove the inner tail light plug. If your sockets come out of an alero they should be coloured the same.

3. The wires are coloured like this; Black - ground, Brown - tail, Blue - brake.

4. I spliced into the wiring harnes on the driver's side, by the trunk hinge. This is where the harnes splits for the trunk.

5. Just need to run the blue wire to the lights to operate the brake.

Do the leds get out to the reflector or just the bulbs light up? I will post pics as soon as I figure out this camera.

i had to modify the LED's, where i actually took an extra led tailight and took the leds from that and soldered them in facing backwards on the (good) led tailights....they still dont work the way i want, which i may modify or put more lights in.....i currently have 3 leds per light facing backwards for the reflection effect, but it isnt helping much during the day since i have tinted tails....i may try putting a shiny aluminum disc in front of the leds, or add more of them facing backwards..at night time they are extremly bright so im not sure what im gonna do yet, but havin all four brake lights on at once will definitly help so i wont get rearended

You might want to call a GM tech and ask about wiring the extra lights in. The added amp draw may cause a fire as the bulb burns out. I had a recal on my ford taurus for the same exact reason. As the rear brake bulb burned out it pulled too many amps for the wire to handle. The fuse never blew and caused two fires in the trunk prior to the recal. It realy sucks to be driving down the road and realize that the trunk is in flames.
