need some help...

So we just got 3 to 4 feet of snow here. When it finally stopped I decided to start digging my car out. I accidentally bumped up against my driver side mirror and half of the mirror cracked off. I'm not about to drive around with my mirror hanging half way off. I've been doin a little searching in the threads to see if the grand am mirrors will fit directly (seeing as I like the look and need to replace em anyway). I didn't exactly get the info I needed. Will the GA mirror fit my gx? If so is there any important info I need to know about replacing these? I have manually adjusted mirrors. Any help I can get on this subject would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

Yea they will fit if you replace the whole housing, the glass its self doesn't interchange. Also the power mirrors are wired slightly different, I forget exactely how but it's like left moves it right and up is down instead. Easy fix tho or just put up with it.

Ok thanks. One more question, does the trim panel where the mirror is bolted on pop right out?

Simple mod.

Remove the trim panel from the inside with a flat screwdriver.

If I remember correctly there are 3 bolts. Remove them. Then just pull the mirror out with the wire or cables.

Then install the GA double post mirrors. Feed the wires or cables and connect. Fits like a glove!

Worked on my Malibu too! eBay was $70 for a pair a while ago. Kinda poor molding, took a while with the dremel to get rid of the seams. A little careful painting and then they bolted right on. Gotta love this cross-model stuff!

Nice I got mine for $55 though. Yeah the ice cracked the mirror off the rest of the way now it's got tape holding it on so I can see where the screws and wire connects.
