yea you did see that right... power from the headunit.... My cousin and I couldn't believe it either. We were looking for where the wire went to, and to our disbelief, right to the headunit... Which is why when it got broken into and the hu torn out, no more power to compressor. But yea....buh.....

was the radio power wire actually powering the comp, or just firing a relay that powered the comp?

it was actually powering the comp. There is a relay in line after the headunit. So yea, it was powering the comp. Hence, when the radio got torn out, no more power.

if i remember right it was just powering the relay so the compressors didnt run while the car was off. the compressors had their own power ran, at least i thought. there is no way the stock fuse for the headunit could handle the load of the compressor(or the wire for that matter).

Well, there was only one wire running from the compressor, and it lead to the relay and from the relay to the headunit. So i'm almost 90% sure the hu was powering it, which is why it stopped working when the hu was taken out. We ran it to a fuse, and it works perfect again. But never the less, it works again, so that's all that matters to me at this point.

i agree with joel, there's no way you would be able to have the head unit actually powering two compressors on a skinny line like that, its definitely just the 12v ignition line for the compressor's relay.

i'm pretty sure you are confused about how a relay works...

Well I am no expert on air ride and never claim to be, and it is all working now, so thats all i care about. I may have been confused about how the relay works, and maybe I just missed the other wire that was ran, but either way, it works now. sorry if I don't know everything, just when you find a power wire running from a headunit to the compressor, you kinda think wtf? for someone that doesn't know everything about air ride/relays. So im learning, and again I will repeat, it works now, so that was my concern from the beginning.
