Parrot Products

With the new car purchase Ive decided I want to keep my car as stock as possible. Now that Im getting older I dont care as much about blaring loud music as I once used to.

My new car is lacking IPOD control or even a USB port.

I NEED a USB port!

So Im looking at the Parrot MKi9000 or 9100

Ive downloaded the manual and it leaves alot to be desired.

Was just curious if anyone has installed one of these before?

They didn't have all those fancy features when I got mine (CK3300). Does what it says and install was fairly easy. From what I gather, the install is even easier now.

Yes it is, I found this website:
http://www.quickconnectproducts.com/Find/find.php

For $50 I get a harness that makes the thing 100% plug and play.

Im a huge fan of plug and play. I dont want to hack apart wiring!

So Im gonna go this route when I get some extra cash.

slightly louder, but much more clarity. I'm not old, I'm just refined.

I don't know about future cars though... its only going to get harder and harder to go aftermarket and not have it look like balls.

Thats a concern I have also. But the biggest reason is the driver information center is routed through the stock radio.

That is where it displays such information as gas mileage, etc, etc.

but at the same time... alot of newer cars (that aftermarket will be a bitch for) are starting to have this stuff built in.

then its just a matter of upgrading amps/speakers. which shouldn't be TOO hard.... hopefully.

They do make that aftermarket. I've seen at least 3 different install kits with the DIC on them.
