Done for the night until I can find an inch-lbs torque wrench tmrw... the one I rented is in ft-lbs and I misread it at the store.
On a side note, is it normal for injectors to have a little 'ring' around the top? It looks burned; I couldn't get it to come off with carb cleaner.

No, I followed the walkthrough and saw no mentions of an oil pump o-ring.

You don't need to bother going to get another torque wrench, just convert the inch-pounds to foot-pounds and vise versa. There is a conversion chart in the Haynes manual if you have one. I can't remember the exact number off the top of my head. When I did my LIMG my injectors looked the same way. I just cleaned them up with some solvent and went about my business. As long as they don't leak you are in the clear.

Lol come on im not that bad.. the wrench only went down to about 60 ft lbs at its lowest point. It wasn't usable for the limg application.

Yep, it was the only one autozone rented. I ended up going to sears and buying an inch-lbs one for $80... I'll be returning it sometime this week
