My price at the dealer was $208/ea (CDN) and would take 10 days to get here, I need brakes last month, literally.

So I am going with the full W-body set-up, since it's available to me, cheap to do, and I really don't need a huge braking improvment since this is my DD, at least for now. I'll go all out on either my truck, or if I decide to turn this into more than a DD, then I'll go hog wild on the brakes, but will probably be even more extreme than just 'Vette calipers and W-body rotors.

If I find these anchors cheap later on, I'll just make sleeves to reduce the hole size again.

Well I'm off to go and finally get this done.

I'll let every one know how it goes, I'd take pics, but my camera was stolen last week.

Just an update, I put the full W-body front brakes on today, and what a hug improvement. My Malibu has never stopped so well.

The hardest part was enlarging the bolt holes. The largest drill bit I had was 1/2 which is just under 13mm. I had to use a die grinder for the rest. Next time I'd find the right size drill bit before starting the swap.

I'd say for anyone that wants to improve braking the W-body front swap is well worth it, even without using the dual piston calipers from the 'Vette.

If you ever want to go anything bigger, you can use a big-brake kit for a F-Body or a W-Body.

Oh, and the 'vette calipers are the same ones used in many Baer kits. The baer kit for the Alero actually uses the older C4 'vette caliper.
