hey no doubt about it, on my highways I am not doing 110 km/h, its really not even a highway but more of a old highway of a max speed of 80 km/h which I do and is probably why I get pretty good fuel mileage theres no reason why I would lie of it but I garunteed I probably missed something somewheres if any wants they can figure it out themselfs at 550 to 600 km's a tank at 14 gallons

That equates to about 24 - 26 miles per gallon. Fuel tank size is 14.3 gallons, but you never really empty it all the way.

I think colonel is on to what I am probably saying, I am use to the way of UK stuff not US stuff but god knows I just know it cost me normally $35 to $40 to fill my car when its not on the E but near it and I run for about a week sometimes a little longer before I have to fill up ( not much longer tho day or two at most )

I was getting about 200-230 miles on a tank, mixed city and highway. Of course, whenever I went to fill up, the most I'd ever put in my tank was 12-12.5 gallons at just below E.

Overall, horrible horrible mileage.

yup, semi's are great for it.

i locate a semi that is going 72 and draft.

i have been going to chicago a lot lately.

750 miles + round trip.

my grandma (last living elder) who is 91 has been stroking out bad.

she has no clue who she or anyone else is.

ohh yeah, back to gas mileage tips.

another good tip, unplug the AC compressor.

drafting = 70mph and faster for any mileage benefit. Any slower and you're being an ahoe.

and the link above...I got around 29mpg last week...on a bad hub and a rusty fuel line throwing the po440 code. hehe

um wasn't drafting on the highway some stupid joke based on nascar that was just a retarded excuse to tailgate someone? I remember when i first heard about it, "they" did a test that revealed that it had no effect other than an increase in traffic accidents.

It's quite real. You'll end up dying doing it on the highway, but it's quite real.

If anyone values mileage over their own safety and the safety of others I think its time to revoke some licenses and provide mental counseling.

Has anyone heard of this? http://www.gas-king.com/
My brother has it on his Mazda 6 and he said it helped a bit. I want to try it on my Alero to see if there is a difference. I want to know if it works or if its just another gimmick. I get around 248 miles on a tank of gas with mixed city and high driving with my 3400. I usually do around 74 miles on the highway if conditions are good.

on modern cars, you'd have to be moving at a high rate of speed, and less than a foot away to get benefits.

...unless its a semi trailor.. and you still have to be too close for comfort. So.... don't try it.

my remark was a generalized statement, not directed at you or any specific person.

another thing i do is coast.

i do a lot of coasting.

me and the kids even have a game for it, to see how far i can coast.

as for drafting, i do see an incredible increase in gas mileage just being 30 feet away. i don't get all stupid and try to draft 5 feet away from a semi.

here are some simple stats about drafting.

15-18 mpg

It's a Jeep though. I would really like to be driving my ho but some ahoe decided to take some parts he wanted for himself the night I went and got an engine to replace. So nagged about to part it out
