dome light wiring
alright well the other day i was doing some maintenance and for those of you who have seen the wiring i have under my carpet, i cleaned it up a little bit but in the process i disconnected 2 wires coming out of the B pillar and now when the car is under speeds of ~10mph the dome light automatically comes on, just wondering where these two wires would connect to if anyone knows, my car is a 4 door by the way and this is the B-pillar on the drivers side, does this go to + and - or am i looking for something coming out of a wiring harness from the car? hoping cliff or someone can shine some light on this, thanks a lot.

it almost looks like the wires are seperate from the factory harness, it could possibly be one of the door latches are bad, front or rear, hard to say really with out being there and trouble shooting the latches
thats what i see

chris look below the plug going into the rear door harness, it looks like its seperate from the factory harness, why dont ya remove the rear trim panle and trace down the wire in the door and going into the car, see where it goes, and then trouble shot the latches

guys sorry those wires have nothing to do with it, my mistake, those were for LEDs in the door handles before i shaved them off, still having this problem ONLY at night though its the weirdest thing.

at night... @ >10mph?
sounds like your wire got somehow spliced into the nighttime courtesy lights. i can't explain the speed issue though.
what speed is it that our locks engage?

ok so that solves that problem, so take a look at the front and rear door latches, try this bring in the striker, and then drive the car, if it goes away then ya know the latches are bad

Everything's already been said. It sounds like a possibility of something with your LED door lights or a bad door latch. Did you accidentally tap them into the wrong wires? lol

The door lock settings are customizable. Look in your manual.

i had spliced into the right wire but the brainbox was backfeeding ground onto the line and causing the dome light to kick on at lower speeds for some reason, problem is fixed you can go ahead and close this
